Bonding

So last night night I had another great night with my new guy.  He came over and went to the mall with the kids and I and then we came back to my house for dinner. He helped me cook which was awesome. I don’t remember the last time a man has helped me cook. We had dinner and then after dinner we played games with my kids. The first game we played was the 5 Second Rule which is really fun.  We played forever and we were all laughing the whole time. I love how he is always himself around my kids. They haven’t really said a lot about him yet but I really hope they like him. My daughter said he was okay.  Whatever that means, who really knows. After the 5 Second Rule we played this game called Exploding Kittens. That game was funny too.  At one point my son and my guy both started talking in a Russian accent and we were all about to fall out of our chairs laughing. It was just a casual evening at home but it was a lot of fun. He said later that he felt like he bonded with my kids and I guess that’s pretty true. He actually went home at a decent time last night instead of us staying up until morning like we have so many times this week. I had to get my car serviced this morning so I had to be functional. I feel a bit like I’ve kind of shoved him down their throats the last week but that is only because we are both off of work. We are lucky enough to only live about 15 minutes from each other which also helps. Tonight is the last night we will spend together before going back to work because we both agreed that we needed to use Sunday to get ready to go back to work Monday. I am not looking forward to not being able to see him every day but I am looking forward to the future. I know we are attempting to build something which is great. We still haven’t had an actual talk about exclusivity but I know that is what I am doing. I told the older guy this morning that I had met someone else that I had a deeper connection with. He was really nice about the whole thing and told me to call him if something changed. I was relieved that he was so great about the whole thing. I liked him just not as much as I like the English Teacher.
