Freshman Orientation

So my daughter has officially accepted to be admitted into University of Texas at Dallas for the fall. i have known for awhile that this was going to be her choice but she is official now. Tonight we set about registering for Freshman Orientation. She was really funny the whole time she was trying to login to get it done because she was talking a mile a minute so she could stall. She finally got the dates pulled up and we registered for the orientation on June 24th. I can’t believe how real it all is now. My daughter will turn 18 a week from tomorrow and then she graduates from high school a month and two days later. I know that she has a good head on her shoulders but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m really not ready to see her go. My life is going to change so much in the next six months and I’m not sure that I’m ready for it. I would never have thought the last 18 years would go by so fast. It seems like you have so much time when they are young and then one day you wake up and they’re in high school. The next thing you know they are graduating from high school and leaving home. I can’t wait to see what the world has in store for my baby girl but I’m glad I have at least one more summer before it starts!!
