I honestly haven’t shopped at a Sam’s Club or any other bulk store in quite some time. I don’t currently have a membership so it just wasn’t on my radar. Tonight the new boyfriend took me to Costco. I have to say that this is the first time I have ever been to Costco. We bought some things that we knew that we needed right now and then we scouted for other things that we use but don’t need at the moment. I can’t hardly believe the deals that we got from our trip. It seems like such a small thing when you think about it but it is nice to save money when you have two teenagers. My boyfriend made the comment tonight that he seriously doubts my ex-husband (also the father of said teenagers) as any idea how much it costs to feed my kids. It is actually nice to have someone acknowledge how hard it is to be a single mom and raise kids. So many people think that all single women raising kids are using child support for their own stuff instead of for their kids. I have literally used every tax return I have received over the last ten years to do something for my kids. Sometimes I used it for AP tests, Dual Credit Classes, Summer College Classes, Sports, parties for their friends, and many other things I don’t even remember now. I love my kids and I don’t regret any of the sacrifices that I have made for them but I really wish my ex-husband would give me a bit more respect and acknowledge what I have done for our kids. I know I am dreaming to ever think that will happen but sometimes dreams are nice!!
